Browlift

As we get older, gravity sets in affecting the eyebrows, and they tend to fall. Lines may deepen, or your vision may even become compromised due to a heavy brow. Eyelids change shape as well, and the drop of the eyebrow also causes increased fullness of the upper eyelids. All of these changes can make you look tired or even unhappy. There are surgical options to improve the appearance of the brow.

Both males and females choose Browlifts and helps to not only lift the brow, but make the upper eyelid less full in appearance by opening up the distance from the eye to the eyebrow.  Dr. Hankins can also explain to patients the procedure of an endoscopic browlift. Many patients choose this option to lessen the look of wrinkles between the eyebrows, similar to Botox®. During this procedure, incisions are made in the hairline to lift the eyebrows. Another procedure called a hairline browlift can be used with larger incisions; and all of these lessen the appearance of wrinkles and smooth the skin.

A browlift takes approximately an hour, under a general anesthetic. Depending upon the degree of swelling and bruising, patients should recover within two weeks.
